About
I translate in both directions and also specialize in creating articles, product descriptions and any texts related to software products and their promotion. I assume that the experience I have gained working in the IT sphere and the ever-lasting infatuation with computer technologies come in very handy for this type of work. I will be glad to translate your business correspondence, help companies find their clients and assist clients in fully grasping the gist of the provided services and peculiar product features.
Localization is a complex and creative process, which makes the translator traverse in the entanglement of system requirements, maximal field lenghts, requirements of ergonomics and seek only those terms that have firmly rooted in the vocabulary of specific user groups and/or are used in a specific kind of programs only. I presume that the success of delivering the author's thoughts to users in the unchanged way or with minimal risk of ambiguity is the sole and most important task for a translator, which I hope to fulfill for our clients.
As far as articles and marketing descriptions are concerned, I believe that the most important element is an emphatic approach - putting yourself in the place of potential customers in an attempt to comprehend what they are seeking in the product. I dare hope that so far I have succeeded in that.
Work
I accept materials in any format, except for the most exotic or obsolete. I really appreciate the client's ability to clearly formulate the task, openness and a desire to cooperate. Prior to starting, I estimate the cost and duration of the task and report them to the customer. Apparently, I always download the program (given that it's feasible) and translate the materials according to the vocabulary and context of the product.
