What I do

My responsibilities are most diverse. First and foremost, they include direct management: I monitor the correspondence of our translators, advise, make comments, and control the quality of their work. The second aspect of my work encompasses education of employees in the sphere of software development. And, finally, I take care of the technical part of our operations. From time to time I may do some web design, copywriting, business planning and IT consulting.

Employee education

How do you think our developers know the meaning of the following terms - PAD, Google Adwords, purchase order, toll-free number - or know how to edit a PDF, edit an HTML page or work with VC resource files? Or how can they deal with Delphi components, COM interfaces, SMART, UNICODE support in Windows, integrated SMTP server, .NET Framework? This list can be updated indefinitely with even better examples.

Thanks to my effors, translators do not ask developers unnecessary questions, thus saving their time and that of our clients. Most questions can be answered either by me or my colleagues. Basically, if you are working with one of our translators, you are working with me as well.

Technical solutions

Bots are everything in IT. If there is no web site, the client cannot find the service of his dream; if an antispammer has banned a subnetwork, the client cannot receive the order in due time; if RegSoft disables v-to-v - we have problems with payment processing. Automatic distribution of press-releases and newsletters, organization of the editors database, CRM, hosting, backup, financial questions, advertising - these are the responsibilities that I help our translators get rid of to allow them to focus on the most important thing - working on your order.
